General Information

Notes: The Ronald McDonald House of Long Island is a 42 bedroom facility located on the campus of the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, adjacent to Schneider Children's Hospital. Volunteer transportation to medical facility available. This house has private bedrooms and baths, children's play areas both inside and outdoors, a library, eight kitchen stations, two Kosher kitchens, a fully stocked food pantry, five laundry rooms and a Great Room where the families can socialize or watch television.
Children Policy: Seriously ill or injured children who are 21 years of age and under who are receiving treatment at an area hospital, and their immediate family may be referred for residency at the House.

Effective Dates: October 1, 2021 until December 31, 2026
Room Type: Private Room
Rate Details: Families are asked to donate $25- $35 per night. Payment is NEVER required for those who cannot afford it.
Booking Instructions: Families are referred to the House through a hospital's social work department. Length of stay is limited to no more than two days prior to surgery or admittance to hospital, during the child's stay in the hospital and up to seven days post surgery.
Requirement Level: Healthcare Facility (HCF) must contact the lodging facility
