General Information

Notes: The Veterans Guest House provides United States military service veterans and their families temporary overnight accommodations when receiving treatment at a medical facility in the Reno-Sparks area. There are two buildings which have a total of 11 bedrooms and can hold up to 19 people in semi-private rooms. The Guest House offers semi-private bedrooms and baths, a continental breakfast, kitchen facilities where guests can make their own meals, living room, television room and Internet/Wi-Fi capability.

Room Type: Semi-Private Room
Rate Details: For those who can afford it, a nightly donation of $25 is requested. These donations help defray a portion of the actual cost. However, no one is turned away if they are unable to make a donation. Veterans and their families may stay at the Guest House if they live at least 30 miles or more from the Guest House and have a home to return to. An adult caregiver is required to stay with each guest who is not 100% independent and self-reliant during their stay.
Booking Instructions: Call or email to verify if you are eligible. You will be required to show proof of a medical appointment and proof of military or veterans status.Requests are also made through staff at a medical facility, typically in an emergency situation.Room requests are accepted on a first-come first served basis, and rooms are assigned daily based on need and availability.
