Notes: The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Pittsburgh provides temporary housing to families who must travel to the Pittsburgh area to get life-saving medical care for their children. The house is a “home away from home” during one of the most difficult times in their lives. It is connected to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. It can accommodate 60 families. Each family has a private suite, but can gather with others for support and encouragement in the community areas on the top floor.
Children Policy: Families must have a child 21 years of age or younger, who will be a patient at one of the area hospitals.

Rate: $20.00 USD / daily
Effective Dates: July 2, 2018 until December 31, 2026
Room Type: Private Room
Rate Details: Although the cost is $20 per night, no family is turned away based on their ability to pay. For more information you may email info@rmhcpgh.org. Families must live 40 miles outside Pittsburgh to qualify. All stays must be 5 days or longer. COVID protocols in place.
Booking Instructions: A referral must be obtained from a hospital social worker validating the child is in treatment. An eligible family is placed on a wait list. This does not guarantee an apartment. The availability depends on the discharge of families currently residing at the Ronald McDonald House. Confirmation is made only on the date of arrival.
Requirement Level: Healthcare Facility (HCF) must contact the lodging facility
