General Information

Notes: The 21-bedroom facility is a home-away-from-home for families of children receiving treatment for cancer and other serious illnesses at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and other nearby medical facilities. There are 21 rooms at the House, an offsite house with a duplex that accommodates 3 additional families, and we often times place up to 12 additional families at local motels each night until rooms become available.
Children Policy: You are eligible to receive services at LLRMH if your child is 17 years of age or younger and receiving treatment at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital or another area medical facility. You must live at least 35 miles from the hospital where your child is being treated to meet acceptance criteria.

Rate: $12.00 USD / daily
Effective Dates: May 2, 2019 until December 31, 2026
Room Type: Private Room
Rate Details: A fee of $12.00 per night is charged. However, no family is ever turned away due to inability to pay. Each room accommodates 4 people maximum. No one with a cold or other contagious illness is eligible to stay at the House.
Booking Instructions: To request a referral, please make contact with the social worker serving on the unit where your child is receiving treatment. The social worker will evaluate your case for eligibility and then fax the referral to the House Manger.
Requirement Level: Healthcare Facility (HCF) must contact the lodging facility
