- Notes: The Ronald McDonald House of Amarillo serves children and their families by providing a temporary “home away from home” for families who must travel to Amarillo for medical treatment for their children, and by supporting programs that directly benefit children and their families. Each guest family has a private bedroom and bathroom, and use of a centralized kitchen, dining room/den, living room, laundry room and play nooks. The majority of families who call us their “Home Away from Home” are away from work and home for extended periods of time.
