General Information
- Notes: Hospitality Homes provides free short-term housing in volunteer host homes and donated apartments for families and friends of patients seeking care at Boston-area medical organizations. All guests are provided with a clean, comfortable place to sleep and access to a bathroom. All homes have been visited by program staff to ensure safety and comfort. - Rate: $25.00 USD / daily
- Effective Dates: January 1, 2011 until December 31, 2026
- Room Type: Volunteer host home
- Rate Details: To qualify you must live more than 50 miles from the Boston hospital and have a permanent home to return to after your stay. Hospitality Homes requires all patients staying in a host home to be accompanied by another guest. Hospitality Homes allows a maximum of 4 guests per night in a volunteer host home. You will be charged a $50.00 cancellation fee if you cancel your reservation after confirming a placement with a host. When you arrive at your host’s home, you will receive a Guest Welcome Packet that includes a donation envelope. We suggest a donation of $25.00 a night.
- Booking Instructions: Apply online at https://hosp.org/guest-application/. After receiving the application, Hospitality Homes will call you to confirm the information. An application is not complete until HH have spoken with you on the telephone to confirm your information. You will be charged a fee of $50.00 if you fail to notify the program manager via phone or email more than 48 hours before your arrival date. You will be charged a fee of $100.00 if you fail to notify the program manager via phone or email within 48 hours of your arrival date.
