Notes: There are now five total Fisher Houses on board NSAB. A Fisher House is “a home away from home” for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. The Fisher House program on base provides military families 73 private rooms, 62 of which are ADA compliant suites. The Fisher House is a place for family members to stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. Patients who are medically cleared may also stay at the Fisher Houses. Rate Details: There is no charge to stay at Fisher House. Houses are for veterans, military personal and families only. Family must be traveling a minimum distance of 40 miles one way Lodging is available to families who have no local accommodations
Booking Instructions: A referral must be completed in advance of arrival and submitted to the Fisher House. However, advance referrals do not constitute a reservation. The Fisher House operates on a day-to-day basis due to the medical needs of our guests and their families. A Fisher House staff member will contact the family regarding availability of lodging. Physicians, Nurses, Chaplains, Military Liaisons, Social Workers, American Red Cross, Case Managers, Patient Administration, may prepare referrals.
