Notes: Fisher House provides a place for families to stay, free of charge, while their loved one is receiving medical treatment. The House offers 20 suites, each with a private bedroom and bath. Houses feature a common kitchen, laundry facilities, spacious dining room and an inviting living room with library, and toys for children.

Rate Details: There is no fee to stay at Fisher House. Guests must be a family member of active duty or veteran in-patients, or those receiving extended, episodic out-patient therapies. Guests must reside more than fifty miles away. Guests must be self-sufficient and able to independently care for themselves, or be accompanied by a caregiver.
Booking Instructions: Contact the social worker at the VA Hospital. In most cases, the VA social worker or case manager will conduct an initial screening and place a referral for residence at the Fisher House. Referrals to the Fisher House should be done in advance. The Fisher House Manager will determine eligibility and advise the family on the status and appropriateness of the referral and availability. Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
