General Information
- Notes: Although the 1915 McElderry Street location has closed its doors, the hospital housing program is still active and serving families while we wait for our new Children’s House to be built! Guests will be housed at the Residence Inn. Families may not self refer.
- Children Policy: Children 17 and younger are permitted to stay in the house. Families must reside at least 60 miles from the house to be able to serve those most in need of close housing.

- Rate Details: Requirements for stay: Patient is 17 years old or younger Patients ages 18-21, if being treated by a pediatric doctor, will be considered on a case-by-case basis Family resides at least 25 miles from The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. (Mileage exceptions will be considered for shock trauma, oncology, and transplant patients) If parents are under the age of 21, a guardian will need to stay with them in order to be eligible for housing Cleared criminal background check for each prospective resident 18 years or older For international families without a social security number, a valid passport/VISA is required (expired passports are not considered valid)
- Booking Instructions: Hospital staff must request housing on behalf of families; families can not self-refer. Families are accepted based on the medical condition of the child, not on a first come, first served basis. Once a request has been made by hospital staff, staff at the Believe In Tomorrow Children's House will determine if housing is availability and then contact families to confirm their stay at the RI.
