Notes: The Family House is a "home away from home" for families coming to the Philadelphia area to receive life-saving transplant care. Guests must live at least 25 miles away from the Family House The patient must be currently undergoing transplant related treatment at one of the 8 area transplant centers (Pre transplant and post transplant appointments included). House includes Communal kitchen and dining area, fitness center, laundry facilities, family lounges, outdoor patio with wireless computer access throughout the facility.

Effective Dates: January 1, 2024 until December 31, 2026
Room Type: Private room
Rate Details: Nightly rate is $40.00 per night for lodging and a $40.00 once per visit cleaning fee. Major credit cards preferred. Due to the nature of the transplant process a referral is not a reservation and we cannot guarantee a room to a family prior to their requested arrival date. Solid organ transplant recipients and their families or solid organ living donors and their families are eligible if they meet the following requirements: Guests must live at least 25 miles away from Gift of Life Howie’s House
Booking Instructions: To request a room go to https://apps.giftoflifefamilyhouse.org/online-guest-stay-request and fill in the form. A representative from Gift of Life Family House will contact you regarding the status of the referral within 24 hours of receipt during normal business hours. If your room request is for anytime within the next 48 hours, do NOT submit a Room Request online, please call our Guest Services Desk at 1-855-6-FAMILY and ask to speak with the Manager on Duty.
Requirement Level: Patient must provide contact information for their doctor and HCF
