Logo

Thank you Linton Small for our incredible new logo, brochure and brand campaign. As you can see from our new logo Linton's designs convey a positive outlook. Linton says he "gravitates towards the brighter colors in the spectrum, using ink on off -white paper, and tapping into the immeasurable inspiration of nature." Linton was drawn to Joe's House because "My cousin Richard is currently battling cancer so my family and I are staying strong for him and wish him and the many millions of people with cancer at their doorstep, hope and resolve that they can beat it."

No better words said. Thank you Linton!

If any of our partners needs a copy of the new logo, orbrochures please send us an email at info@joeshouse.org.

Facts About Joe's House & FAQs

  • Just how many people visit Joe's House website?

This year close to 20,00 visitors will come to Joe's House website!

  • Who goes to Joe's House website?

Patients and their families, of course, but also social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Additionally, patient navigators, caregivers, and any other members of a support team visit Joeshouse.org. Others include colleagues, friends, and extended family members of someone in a cancer journey.  Furthermore, you have heard us frequently mention a lot of cancer advocacy groups such as the American Cancer Society, Cancercare, and so on....

  • How many places are there to stay and do they all offer a discount?

There are now over 2000 places to stay that are listed on Joe's House website! We have a wide variety of options including hospitality houses (such as Ronald McDonald Houses and ACS Hope Lodges), hotels, apartments, hostels, and even home hosting programs. You can find lodging options in 46 states and close to 100 cities across the country.  Some hospitality houses and other lodging programs are free and the vast majority of all lodging facilities on our site offer a significant discount.

  • How do you find lodging and does Joe's House make the reservation for you?

It's easy to find a place to stay! Start by going towww.joeshouse.org and choosing a state from the drop down box on either the Home Page or the Lodging Page. Then, we allow you to narrow your search in two ways: 1 - By choosing a city and clicking GO (lodging options appear in order of rate. The least expensive options appear first). 2 -By choosing a healthcare facility and clicking GO  (the lodging options appear in order of proximity to that hospital or treatment center).
After you locate your desired lodging facility, click on the name. The resulting page gives you details about the facility and how to make a reservation (Joe's House does not make reservations for you). Some places to stay can even be booked online! Joe's House also has a toll free line at 877-563-7468 for those that do not have access to
the Internet.
Renewal Time Again

Yes, it's that time again. Joe's House is currently reaching out to all of the places to stay on the website - yes all of them - and negotiating discounted rates and information for the coming year.

Thanks to all of our participating lodging facilities.  Please look for renewal solicitation letters coming from Joe's House soon.

Know of a place that we don't list? Send us an email atinfo@joeshouse.org

Fundraising

Not only are we reaching out to all of our lodging partners, but we will be reaching out to all of you for our annual fundraising drive.

We know times are tough, so please give what you can. Remember our staff is very lean and almost 100% of projects are performed free of charge. Those items or services that we do pay for are always at a very deep discount thanks to our generous partners. A very quick thank you to Cynthia Ashworth, Linton Small, Clark Welch and as always David Ulf and MaximumASP.

Our annual drive letters will be going out next month, but if you'd like to donate online, go to www.joeshouse.org where you can give via our site with your credit card.

You can also donate via Facebook  or Good Search. When shopping online please go tohttp://www.goodsearch.com/goodshop.aspx and select Joe's House as the designated charity. A percentage of what you purchase goes back to Joe's House.

There are many ways to give.

If you would like additional information about Joe's House, send an email to ann.calahan@joeshouse.org.

Sincerely,
Ann Calahan
President
